New Patio Furniture!

Labor Day weekend we decided that it was finally time to purchase a patio set. In hopes to find a great Labor Day sale, we went to several different places and finally decided on this set from Art Van.

We are really happy with it. It's the perfect size for our patio and we believe that it will hold up for many years to come. 

As you can see we're eating healthy!

The following weekend when the patio set was delivered, my husband was so excited to fire up the grill and serve me dinner on the patio. It was quite sweet. If you must know, I did help clean up!

Our Getaway to the Riviera Maya

In honor of my husband Jonathon's 35th birthday and our second wedding anniversary we decided wanted to go on a big vacation.We first went to the Riviera Maya to celebrate my 30^th birthday a few years ago and we fell in love with it. When were deciding on a place to vacation we undoubtedly knew we wanted to go back to the Riviera Maya again.

 We looked at quite a few resorts and read a number of reviews on TripAdvisor, but finally settled on the Valentin Imperial Maya Resort, an adults only all-inclusive resort.

 This resort was amazing and exceeded any expectations we had. It was peaceful and relaxing, but there was still a bit of party atmosphere too. The grounds were just beautiful!

 We loved swimming in the crystal blue water even though I did get taken out by a pretty gnarly wave. LOL

 The pools were awesome. 

We spent a lot of our time at the main pool and the swim up bar, but we also enjoyed the private pool which was right near our suite.

 The food and drinks were impeccable. Whether we ordered drinks at dinner or at the swim up bar- they were always great!  We also loved that we didn't have to make reservations for dinner like we've had to at other all-inclusive resorts that we've visited in the past.

 The service was by far the best we've ever experienced. I've never stayed at a place where they would clean your rooms twice a day! We had a great time and we both have said that we would definitely consider coming back to this resort in the future. 

My Love for Thirty-One!

I first learned about Thirty-One Gifts from my co-worker and friend Ruth who was constantly singing their praises. Ruth's daughter, Kim is a Thirty-One Gifts consultant and after attending a party that she hosted I quickly started to become a fan too!

One of the things that I really like about Thirty-One Gifts is that there is something for everyone. Whether you need to organize your closet or need a gift to give to your child's teacher at school - you can always find at least one thing that is right for you.

Thirty-One Gifts also has a variety of patterns to choose from and I love the fact that most of their items can be personalized (embroidered) in a variety of ways. My favorite are the monograms, but there are so many different options and colors that you can choose from.

My newest purchase is the Cinch Sac.

Isn’t it so cute? I can’t wait to take my new Cinch Sac to Mexico in August. I can easily fit my Kindle, Jonathan’s tablet, sunscreen, sunglasses, hair ties, a beach cover up, and more into this bag and then pull the drawstring and go. On the plus side, it’s also waterproof!
